Welcome to the Privacy Policy for this Dividend Calculator application (hereinafter “the App”). This document provides information about how the App collects, uses, and protects user data. In particular, we aim to be transparent about how we handle user data obtained through Google API Services.
Information Regarding Google User Data
The App provides a feature that allows users to export calculated investment simulation results to their Google Spreadsheets for convenience. Access to your Google account is required to use this feature, and we comply with the following policies.
1. Data Access
With your explicit consent, the App requests permission for the following scope:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets
This permission is used solely for the purpose of creating new spreadsheet files and writing the App’s calculation results to those files. Our App does not use this permission to read, modify, or delete your existing spreadsheets or other files. Additionally, we do not access any other files in your Google Drive.
2. Data Usage
The requested access permission is activated only when you explicitly request it by clicking a button. Data is used as follows:
- Data Creation and Storage: Creates a new Google Spreadsheet in your Google Drive containing data calculated by the App, such as monthly dividends and total assets.
- Non-Usage: The App does not access or utilize your Google data for any purpose other than the export function, and absolutely does not use your data for advertising or other analytical purposes.
3. Data Sharing
Our App does not share any personal information, including your Google account information or spreadsheet data, with third parties. Data is transmitted directly from your client (browser) to Google’s servers and does not pass through or get stored on our servers.
4. Data Storage and Protection
The App handles authentication through the Google OAuth 2.0 protocol and does not directly store your password or sensitive authentication information. Spreadsheet files created are stored entirely within your Google account, and the security of that data is protected by Google’s robust security infrastructure.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Since the App does not retain your Google-related data internally, there is no separate retention period. Spreadsheet files you create through the export function are your property, and you can review, modify, or permanently delete those files from your Google Drive at any time.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in laws or services. If there are significant changes, we will notify you through in-app announcements or email.
